Social Security and the Appeals Council

The Appeals Council is the final step under the Social Security Administration Disability Determination process that a claimant can request access to for a decision. Inevitably, claimants will lose their case – especially during the Initial and Reconsideration stages of the SSA Disability Determination Process.
